Work package 4: Socio-economic valuation of services provided by soil organisms

Value the most important goods and services soil biodiversity can provide for society and assess the impact of policy on its provision.

Hypotheses

  • Soil biodiversity has impacts on economic viability of farms and international trade

  • Soil biodiversity development over time has a significant influence on economic and social well-being on a regional and member state scale

  • Trade liberalisation and EU polices are important drivers of soil management practices
